Lime Lion Amigurumi

I made this lion for my friend's 21st birthday. She loves lime green, and lions.

I couldn't find a lion pattern that I liked, so I made up one.


Lime Lion Pattern

Body:
Rnd 1: ch 3, sl st in first ch to join
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 sc in each st around (6 sts)
Rnd 3: ch 1, 2sc in each st around (12 sts)
Rnd 4: [2 sc in st, 1 sc in next st] around (18 sts)
Rnd 5: [2sc in st, sc in next 3 sts] around, ending with 1 sc in each of last 2 sts (22 sts)
Rnds 6-12: sc in each st around (22 sts)
Rnd 13: [dec, sc in next 3 sts] around, ending with 1 sc in each of last 2 sts (18 sts)
Rnd 14: [dec, sc in next st] around (12 sts)
Stuff body.
Rnd 15: dec around, ending with sl st in next ch (6 sts)
Finish off and weave in ends.

Legs (make 4):
Rnd 1: ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook (6 sts)
Rnd 2: 3 sc in each st around (18 sts)
Rnd 3: 1 sc in each st around (18 sts)
Rnd 4:  dec around (9 sts)
Rnd 5-7: sc in each st around (9 sts)
Stuff leg.
Rnd 8: [dec, sc in next st] around, ending with sl st in next ch (6 sts)
Finish off, leaving long end for attachment to body.

Head:
Rnd 1: ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook (4 sts)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around (8 sts)
Rnd 3: [2 sc in next 2 sts, sc in next st] 2 times, 2 sc in next 2 sts (14 sts)
Rnd 4: sc in each st around (14 sts)
Rnd 5: 2 sc in next 7 st, sc, dec, sc, dec, sc (19 sts)
Rnd 6: sc in next 15 sts, dec, sc in next 2 sts (18 sts)
Rnd 7: dec twice, 6 sc, dec twice, sc, dec, sc (13 sts)
Rnd 8: 11 sc, dec (12 sts)
Rnd 9: [dec, sc] around (8 sts)
Stuff head.
Rnd 10: dec around, ending with sl st in next ch (4 sts)
Finish off, leaving long end.

Tail:
Stuff as you go along.
Rnd 1: ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook (4 sts)
Rnd 2-10: sc in each st around (4 sts)
Continue with the tail until you think it is long enough.
Finish off, leaving long end.

Assembly:
Attach tail, legs and head to body. Finish off and weave in ends.
Weave a nose and eyes in the head. You can also use beads for eyes.
Weave hair on the head and on the tip of the tail. Use any method you like.
